Peter Smith is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City and Bozeman, Montana. 

Peter’s solo work has been produced internationally and across the U.S. Favorite theatre credits include I Am My Own Wife (as the first trans actor to play all 30+ roles), Peter in Peter Pan at Bard SummerScape, and Rosalind/Ganymede in As You Like It at La Jolla Playhouse. Most recently, she was part of the Off Broadway directing team for the Tony Award–winning Oh, Mary! and performed on Broadway in Macbeth and Oh, Mary! On screen, Peter has guest-starred in Girls5eva (Netflix), Alternatino (Comedy Central), Three Busy Debras (HBOMax), Fire Island (Searchlight) and Shrill (Hulu/BBC3),  

Peter identifies as trans and intersex, using she and they pronouns interchangeably. Her work consistently explores the nuance and absurdity found in binary ideologies.
