Xin Ying is a choreographer, interdisciplinary artist, and principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company. Working across dance, AI, immersive media, and digital archives, she explores how choreography can move between bodies, technologies, and generations. Her projects, including MarthaBot, In the Folds of Her Purple, and Lamentation: Dancing the Archive, reimagine performance as a living system where movement, memory, and computation intersect. Through volumetric capture, machine learning, interactive installation, and embodied research, she investigates how technology can extend artistic lineage and human connection. She is an MFA graduate of NYU, an Onassis ONX Fellow, and recipient of the Google Artist + Machine Intelligence Faculty Research Award.
