John Monsky is an American historian, lawyer, and creative producer best known for founding the American History Unbound series, which blends live orchestral music, film, archival artifacts, and storytelling to explore pivotal moments in U.S. history. He has presented sold-out symphonic lectures at major venues like Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Boston’s Symphony Hall, covering topics such as the Vietnam War, the moon landing, and World War II. In addition to his historical work, Monsky is a senior partner and general counsel at Oak Hill Capital and previously served as a Senate attorney during the Iran‑Contra investigation.
