Layne Paradis Willis (she/they)

Originally from central Massachusetts, Layne Paradis Willis is a queer freelancing artist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Roger Williams University (2018) under the Judge Thomas J. Paolino Theatre/Arts Scholarship. Layne researched physical theatre and movement studies in London, England under Donna Meierdiercks and Katie Lusby at The Place. She has had the pleasure of performing both commercial and live work by Punchdrunk, Candela Capitán, Jacob Jonas, Amy Gardner, Nadine Bommer, Netta Yerushalmy, Kayla Farrish, Christina Robson, Shawn Ahern, KJ Holmes, Tiffany Mills, Hilary Easton, and more. From 2018-2023, Layne performed full-time in the award winning off-Broadway immersive production Sleep No More at the Mckittrick Hotel in NYC. In 2018 & 2019 Layne had the pleasure of teaching students concert dance in Israel after premiering new work for Nadine Bommer at Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv. Layne is the co-founder of HEAVY BOOTS dance theatre and film company. Layne is a collaborator on Mike Tyus and Luca Renzi’s My Body is an Instrument.
