If robots could dance at home

If Robots Could Dance | At Home

Alice Sheppard, Alex Reben
Virtual

Separated by just 58 road, 38 crow miles, and the waters of the Bay, Roboticist Alexander Reben and dancer/choreographer Alice Sheppard, both anchored at home, problematize remote communication in creative process in their technologically-transmuted performance piece, If Robots Could Dance | At Home.  Together, they test the bias of Artificial Intelligence, the limits of the machines we live with, including Alice’s wheelchair, and transform something as ephemeral as a facial expression into durational dance.
