Gabe Gaster is a Senior Software Engineer at Google, where he works on Local Search to help users find information to navigate the world around them. Gabe focuses on linguistic challenges particularly affecting multilingual voice search for the next billion users. In the past, Gabe has consulted with companies like the Detroit Pistons and Motorola with the data science company Datascope (now part of IDEO). Besides figuring out the right problem to solve (and solving it), Gabe also does and teaches math. He was a founding teacher of the Math Circles of Chicago and solved a $100 problem posed by Paul Sally.
