Sarah Hotchkiss is a San Francisco-based artist and arts writer. She watches a lot of science fiction, which she reviews in the semi-regular publication Sci-Fi Sundays. She is the visual arts editor for KQED.

In a lively critique of sci-fi films that imagine the adventures of humans in space, Sarah Hotchkiss asks audiences to examine how movies shape our visions of the future. We’ll watch clips from films both thought-provoking and ridiculous, test our knowledge of space travel sci-fi and determine which fictions we might like to bring into being
